Description:	Mary Win was born in Bangkok, Thailand to political refugees fleeing the military dictatorship in neighboring Myanmar (formerly Burma) and settled in Seattle when she was a mere ten months old. Aged a year eighteen times, Mary weaves strong, ethereal vocals with “Hard Rock meets Indie-Pop� tunes. Gifted as a versatile songwriter Mary is establishing herself as a musical talent and prolific singer/songwriter. Be sure to catch her as she hops from the cozy & intimate settings of a warm aromatic coffeehouse, to local fundraisers and benefits, to chilly outdoor amphitheaters (a favorite). See if you can hear pleasureful odes to the sounds reflecting the influences of her early idols: Elliott Smith, Beck, The Sugarplastic, The Decemberists, Jerry Cantrell, and Temple of the Dog. Her E.P., “three little numbers�, issued through Irrawaddy Records on December 20th, 2006 features “Little Thing�, “Just Fall Back� and “Highway Song�. All three original compositions show a flair for intriguing melodies. Mary takes pride in her sound as an acoustic performer and those lucky enough to catch a show are guaranteed to be left with a charming, whimsical and thoroughly satisfying performance.
