Norman Stewart Edson Exhibition of Works |
Display of 100 photos taken by nature photographer and Vashon resident Norman Edson from 1921-1968
Bill & Pat Taylor’s incredible Edson collection is unrivalled in the world. The opportunity for VMIHA to bring part of this collection to Vashon Island is not just a coup, it is a demonstration of the Taylors’ faith in our communitiy’s appreciation and understanding of Norman Edson’s place in our history.
Saturday and Sunday, May 17, 18, 24, 25, 31, June 1, and 7 - 10am to 3pm.
Wednesday may 21, 28 and June 4 from 1pm to 3pm

VAA New Works Series: DOUBLE BILL ISLAND MUSIC |
VAA New Works Series features Island performing artists in original works of all disciplines. This performance will hightlight music of several Island musicians including Boston natives, Pat Reardon and Kim Cronin, who play all original roots/folk music with wonderful lyrics. New band, Resonance, comprised of veteran Island perfomers, Jason Everett, bass, Bill Moyer, percussion, Ken Jacobsen, guitar/cello, Carolyn Candy on flute and newcomer Chip Lamason, mandolin will bring a whole slew of brand new world fusion music for their ever-growing fan base. Don't miss this happening night of Island music!

Vashon Junior Civic Ballet: Stellar Suite Ballet |
Vashon Junior Civic Ballet presents its spring ballet, an original choreography entitled 'Stellar Suite'.
Vignettes of famous classical ballets will be presented in the first act, while the original work will be the second act.
At the Vashon High School Theater.
June 6 and 7 at 7:30pm. June 8 at 2:30pm
